Familiarization Flights

The FAA recently announced that they will put air traffic controllers back in the skies as part of a familiarization program to view life “on the other side of the frequency” after an almost decade-long suspension. ATC PPL in Cyprus

ATCOs in Cyprus get a PPL license as part of their ab initio training. This has proven much useful, however due to the cost and time required it will probably be changed into familiarization flights in the near future.

Interesting

I believe there are still a few countries training controllers to PPL level, but fam flights on commercial airliners are invaluable as well.
